Good day and welcome everyone to the fifth progression blog for the Burglars Incorporated project. I am your host, Christopher Bandura. A lot of progress has been made in the past 2 weeks, so let’s jump right into it.
In the art department, Matthew and Abigail have both made a bunch of progress. Matthew has been working on more sketches for shops and he is also working on making a start on the first layout of the mall. As you can see there are still some vacant spots where more shops are going to be placed over the coming week.
Abigail has been working on more animations for Quick Cooper. She has made Quick Cooper, walk, run, steal and stand non-suspiciously whistling whilst the cops are walking past.
Over in the sound department, Justin has been working on that same secret task. I can tell you that a lot of progress is being made and that we can hopefully tease you all a bit more in the next blog. If you feel lucky however, feel free to guess in the comments what this new secret task is.
In the writing department, Fraser has been working really hard on making very extensive backgrounds to the characters that have been introduced. He is making sure that they have a great personality along with humoristic features and personality traits that you won’t forget anytime soon. Take this paragraph for example out of Ambitious Alice’s background:
“However, this is not all, as when the interviewer relented and opened the door to his office to commence the interview earlier than scheduled, Alice walked straight into the interviewer’s office, ignored the interviewer’s handshake and sat in his chair.”
Isn’t she just great?
Over in the programming department Rahul has been working on implementing the animations and improving the code around the stealing mechanics. This is going very well and it is a great step towards finishing the demo stage in the coming couple of weeks.
And last but not least, I have been managing the team for the Burglars Incorporated project along with some working on some of the level design for Burglars Inc. Besides that I have also been working on other tasks that I can share with you all in the future, because why give you all the good news now!
