Hello everyone and welcome to the seventh ‘2D-Platformer Game’ blog, my name is Christopher and I will be your host for today.
Since the last blog we have made a lot of progress in terms of art and main in-game mechanics so today we are going to talk about some new concepts of the artwork and the very first build of the game.
Dylan, our lead artist, has recently put a lot of time and effort into making new concept art, this resulted in some amazing concept art of our mid-game boss, whom you can see below.
You may remember that in the previous blog we talked about making great progress in the terms of in-game mechanics. Since that last blog we have progressed even more, resulting in the creation of the very first build of this project, complete with all the movement mechanics and 8 fully functional levels to test those mechanics.
Currently we are spending a lot of time everyday to find all the bugs in this first build and to see what we can improve after playing with this first build. So far we have found a couple of bugs here and there and we have thought of ways to improve the overall flow of the game.
As you can read and even see in terms of art we have been progressing a lot lately. In the upcoming blog you can expect to see more updates in terms of art and story!
